Mission Statement

At Bitterne Junior School our primary purpose is to provide education of the highest quality, so that our pupils may leave us with positive attitudes and the ability to make constructive relationships that will equip them for life.

Curriculum

Quality of Teaching and Learning - maintaining and improving good standards of teaching, within a stimulating learning environment and providing an appropriate level of resources for all pupils

Multicultural understanding - of the world around them, with its different cultural norms and religious beliefs

Breadth and Balance - offering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum

Assessment - maintaining progression and a continuity of pupils' learning experience, through teacher assessment and pupil records.

Development - ensuring constant innovation so that pupils are prepared adequately for future need eg computer literacy
