The Aims of the School Council
The school council allows children to have a 'voice' within the school community. At the beginning of each year, we elect a member of our class to represent us on the council.
There are regular meetings where we;
- Discuss how to improve our school environment - this may include environmental issues;
- Organise fundraising events - such as 'Children In Need';
- Write letters to thank people for visiting school;
- Write letters to Mr Peterson to suggest ways to improve the school;
- Organise 'Thank You' teas for parent helpers;
- Research ideas and issues for the school;
- Ask class members for their views;
- Share ideas and begin competitions in whole school assemblies;
- Give feedback to our teachers and governors;
