The Aims of the School Council

The school council allows children to have a 'voice' within the school community. At the beginning of each year, we elect a member of our class to represent us on the council.

There are regular meetings where we;

  1. Discuss how to improve our school environment - this may include environmental issues;
  2. Organise fundraising events - such as 'Children In Need';
  3. Write letters to thank people for visiting school;
  4. Write letters to Mr Peterson to suggest ways to improve the school;
  5. Organise 'Thank You' teas for parent helpers;
  6. Research ideas and issues for the school;
  7. Ask class members for their views;
  8. Share ideas and begin competitions in whole school assemblies;
  9. Give feedback to our teachers and governors;
